About

Who We Are

In the simplest of terms, the Bat Boys are a sandlot group of youth baseball players who get together, whenever we can, to play baseball. We might have nicer uniforms and access to better fields than Smalls, The Jet, Ham, Squints, and Yeah-Yeah, but at the core, we want to provide opportunities for youth baseball players to experience the game of baseball in a fun, low-pressure, high-performance environment.
Like we mentioned, part of what we do is (quite literally) sandlot ball. We set up scrimmages with other teams, secure an umpire and field, and then see what players might be available to play. Because all of our players are involved in other programs or sports, not everyone is available for each scrimmage, so for every game we’ve played, there has been an entirely different roster.

Who We're Not

We’re not a full-on tournament team. We may play in a tournament here and there, but tournament baseball is not our lifeblood.
We’re not a team with a rigid schedule, planned out months in advance.
We’re not a team that puts pressure on players to turn out for every game.
We play to win, but not at any cost. While we believe that baseball is the greatest game of all, it’s still a GAME that we PLAY.
We’re not a fast track to a college scholarship, but if we can help our players to achieve their baseball dreams, we’ll do what we can.
